Journal of Materials Processing and Characterization (JMPC) is an international, open-access and peer-reviewed journal aimed to facilitate researchers in disseminating their research works in the field of processing and characterization of engineering materials as well as biomaterials for biomedical applications. The journal is published jointly by Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) and Centre for Innovation of Medical Equipment and Devices (CIMEDs) UGM.
In general, JMPC covers all the research topics related to the processing (such as material preparations, fabrication techniques, post-processing treatments) and characterizations (such as novel methods for characterization, experimental testing and numerical analyses) of metals, polymers, ceramics and composites. To be more specific, the journal covers the following research topics:
- Processing technologies of engineering materials and biomaterials, including casting, solidification, forming, forging, hot and cold-working, machining, powder metallurgy, extrusion, heat treatments, additive manufacturing, welding, and injection moulding.
- Surface treatments of engineering materials and biomaterials, including coatings, shot and grit blasting, anodization, physical and chemical treatments.
- Characterizations of engineering materials and biomaterials, including microstructural analysis, surface characterizations, mechanical testing, electrochemical characterization and tribological testing.
- Failures of engineering materials and biomaterials, including fractures, fatigue, corrosion and wear.

Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering of Universitas Gadjah Mada proudly presents Mechanical Engineering and Emerging Technologies National Conference (MEET-nConf) 2019. The MEET-nConf 2019 objectives are bringing together researchers, scientists, academics, students, policy makers, practitioners, private companies and professionals to exchange information and identify research needs in the areas of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering. In this annual conference, we seek to expand the scope to a wider community of researchers allowing a higher quality of knowledge transfer and communication. We hope that by collaborating with the researcher from different department and university will increase in both the quality and visibility of publications. The conference would also contribute to continuous development of the research and technology in Mechanical and Industrial engineering for current and future era.

Journal of Mechanical Design and Testing
Journal of Mechanical Design and Testing (JMDT) is an open-access and peer-reviewed journal aimed to disseminate the results of research in the field of mechanical engineering. The journal is biannually published an original research articles and / or review articles that concern to the following issues:
- Design of mechanical components used in engineering structures, machines and engines, computer aided design (CAD), computer aided manufacturing (CAM), the development of methodology for designing machine elements or mechanical components.
- Finite element analysis, computational fluid dynamics, computational heat and mass transfer, applied mechanics, biomechanics.
- Manufacturing technologies, materials processing technologies, conventional and non-conventional machining, powder metallurgy, casting, welding, additive manufacturing and rapid prototyping, automation.
- Evaluation of engine performance, tribology and lubrication, engine maintenance, testing of mechanical components, materials characterizations, failure analysis.
- Experimental fluid dynamics, multiphase flow, heat and mass transfer, pump and compressor.
- Energy conversion, turbo machineries, internal combustion engines, power plant.
- Mechanical engineering education, learning method for mechanical engineering education, engineering ethics.
