The Ergonomics Laboratory is a laboratory that facilitates students to support the application of ergonomic concepts and principles throughout the work system through practicum and research activities for students; cooperation with industry, other research institutions, or local governments; training or workshops; organizing an annual national seminar; Ergo Club; et cetera. These laboratory activities include serving practicum and student research, organizing an Ergo Club for students who have an interest in ergonomics, collaborating with industry, guest lectures, training, and workshops. & training / workshop, sales of lab equipment. In addition, this laboratory also collaborates with several industries in the form of research and internships, such as PT Gapura Angkasa Adisutjipto Airport, PT Sanggar Sarana Baja, PT Mulia Glass Float Division, PT Global-Pak, PT GE Lighting, Madukismo Sugar Factory, PT AHM, and many other company.
Research in ergonomics laboratories is currently focused on several topics, including the development of the Ergonomics Performance Index, Ergonomics assessment, Ethnography for design, Military ergonomics, Product design based on Indonesian anthropometry, Indonesian Ergonomics standards, Product Usability, and Indonesian Anthropometry.
The equipment available in this laboratory includes chair anthropometer, goniometer, volume measuring instrument for all or body segments, ergonomic software, grip strength dynamometer, human personal vibration system, heart rate monitor, and others.
